AC susceptometry measurement provides information on how fast magnetization is building up in a material. For example, magnetic nanoparticles suspended in a liquid subjected to an alternating magnetic field can show Néel and Brownian relaxation. In case of larger poly-domain material particles, domain-wall motion can be studied. The sum of these effects influences the frequency dependent AC susceptibility of the sample.

We offer a magnetic field platform based on the proven hardware of VSM magnetometers from Microsense. Its core is a 4” or 7” electromagnet with further optional components like power supply, field control module with Gaussmeter, 19” rack and more.

Our field platform has been designed for applications which require magnetic fields of 3 T or more. The electromagnet can be equipped with optimized pole faces and offers optical and/or mechanical access to the field area. Application examples are Hall or Van der Pauw measurements, magneto-optical studies, FMR, ESR or customized magnetometry set-ups.
