Magnetometers measure the magnetization and magnetic properties of material. We offer different commercial measurement equipment based on a variety of techniques like SQUID sensor based magnetometer (superconducting quantum interference devices), vibrating sample magnetometers (VSM), torque magnetometers, the magneto-optical Kerr effect, ferromagnetic resonance spectroscopy (FMR) and magnetic hyperthermia instruments. In principle can the sample have any type of magnetic ordering, like diamagnetic, paramagnetic, ferromagnetic, antiferromagnetic, ferrimagnetic, spin glases, etc. A wide range of sample states are suitable e.g. thin films, nanoparticles, liquids, bulk solid.
The NanoMOKE3 offers high performance laser magnetometry and video-rate Kerr microscopy in a single machine. It is sensitive to the longitudinal, transverse and polar magneto optical Kerr effects and is ideally suited to measuring the magnetic properties of thin magnetic films and magnetic nanostructures.
AC susceptometry measurement provides information on how fast magnetization is building up in a material. For example, magnetic nanoparticles suspended in a liquid subjected to an alternating magnetic field can show Néel and Brownian relaxation. In case of larger poly-domain material particles, domain-wall motion can be studied. The sum of these effects influences the frequency dependent AC susceptibility of the sample.
The Vibrating Sample Magnetometers (VSM) of the EZ series are completing LOT-Quantum Design's broad product range of magnetic characterization systems. The magnetic field is provided by an electromagnet with variable gap. The EZ-VSMs are easy to use and offers a high sensitivity.
We offer a magnetic field platform based on the proven hardware of VSM magnetometers from Microsense. Its core is a 4” or 7” electromagnet with further optional components like power supply, field control module with Gaussmeter, 19” rack and more.
Our field platform has been designed for applications which require magnetic fields of 3 T or more. The electromagnet can be equipped with optimized pole faces and offers optical and/or mechanical access to the field area. Application examples are Hall or Van der Pauw measurements, magneto-optical studies, FMR, ESR or customized magnetometry set-ups.
